The problem I am having in a nutshell is that my car vibrates like crazy mostly around the 50-60 mph area. At low speeds it is not necessarily a problem, and at 80mph, it is not that bad. It seems to be the worst at the aforementioned range. Around 50mph one of the springs in my passenger seat even starts rattling like crazy. It honestly kind of feels like a massage chair. It's ridiculous.

It doesn't matter if it is accel, decel, or just cruising. Also, it doesn't matter if it is in gear or out of gear, with the clutch in or out. It is ONLY dependent on the speed I am traveling. This obviously leads me to believe it is drivetrain related.

This has been going on for quite a while now, but I just got back from school where I rarely drive over 40mph at any given time, so I am just finally getting to it. Can someone lead me in the direction of what to start checking? I am thinking maybe a wheel weight might have fallen off at some point in time, and maybe I should have them balanced again. What else should I check?

Sounds like you may have a wheel out of balance. I would definately start there!! Other then that, I'm not sure. It wouldn't necessarily be a suspension issue because the speed at which you are traveling is the deciding factor. Just go and get your wheels balanced and then let us know

Wheel balance is first, since that's the answer 99% of the time.

If they are all fine, start yanking on the driveshaft.

Be sure to balance you reaer wheels as well. Some poeple dont balance the rear wheels, thats bologne. Costco will balance all 4 for $11.
