I just have a quick question to see if anybody has an idea of what this could be. My car vibrates at around 70 mph ... only when im not accelerating though. I had all my tires rotated, re-aligned, balanced, and new tierods and the boot things that i cant think of the name right now. It still vibrates. Does anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem because my stock rims were really bent, I got new rims and the vibration went down alot.

Wheel-induced vibrations usually happen at certain speeds, I agree, but they usually do not depend on acceleration vs coasting vs braking.

This sounds much more like a problem with the prop shaft. Check the mounts between the transfer case and rear end. There's a VFAQ out there about stiffening these with some Window-Weld.

actually i noticed now that the vibration IS there all the time if i get onto a new road. I think the crappy roads i was driving on were affecting it.

I dont really know if this applys to you because you didnt discribe where you vibration was but my car started vibrating around 5 or 6 days before my center diff gave out. Inoticed it a high speeds first, then is was all the time, then center when out some thing to look for.

the vibration is in the front end.... it does it all the time i noticed. the reason i thought it was not during acceration was because the roads i drive on are crappy. I had my rims checked out and they are not bent... im lost

I gaurentee its on of the two following:

1) warped rotors Fix: Re surface them or replace them

2) The hub rings on your tires...not the teck term for it but its the ring that goes on your hub before u mount your tire, make sure its not jammed in the rim or missing. Fix: replace if needed/

i had that problem twice before both fixed it (both 2 seperate problems)

it could be the front rotor... very good possibility there since i had one caliper stick then i replaced it. also it may be my rear tire, its stuck horribly on though i took it to a shop and they couldnt get it off to balance it.
