I have a 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. The clutch is mess up and I can't figure out what is wrong. Well I'm going to tell you exactly what is happening. I can drive it but i have to put it into 2nd before going into 1st, or any other gear before going into reverse. I have to rev it to get the synchros going to downshift and it still has trouble going into gear. If i stop driving I have to almost rip it into fourth to go to third to go to second to go to first. Sometimes i have to shut it off and start in gear. When it gets stuck out of gear if i try pulling it back into fourth the rpms drop. Is this just Master Cylinder or Clutch, Pressure Plate, what?

the mastercylinder is actually leaking in the back behind the dash. i ordered a new one and am hopefully going to get it in by friday because that is when the car goes to get painted.

1. Play with the adjustment rod on the master.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/njdsm2/clutch.html

2. Check fuid level and leaks at master, slave and the rubber line on top of the tranny, rplace them as needed.

3. Bleed the system using method prescribed here. http://www.plymouthlaser.com/slave2.htm

4. Check the Cutch pedal assembley for freeplay. http://www.taboospeedshop.com/clutch_pedal_assembly.htm

Do some search as well, there are many threads on this subject. Good luck
