I went to the track today. Tried to launch with studder box set to 5500 Rpm. Light goes GREEN I let up the clutch and WTF I'm not moving. The tach just pegs redline. Ran a 21 sec. ET. Horrible. You can check my profile to see my mods. You'll see one problem with the transmission. It's that competition clutch. Stage 3 :notgood: yea right. Thing only has less than 6000 miles on it average wear and tear. I've only Launched hard on it about 5 times.
I'm actually happy it burnt out on me now, opposed to taking a crap on me when I install my 62-1 turbo. I guess I'm just making to much power for it or I'll be humble enough to say possibly I launched wrong. I tried running one more time and ran 16.9 ET @ 92mph.

So back to the jack stands. I'll be installing a better clutch next weekend. I'll keep you updated when I get it all done.

I will be back on the track soon! 11's or bust:hellyeah:

Yea, I'm ordering a stage 4 Xtd clutch. I don't want to run 6 puck unsprung plate though as I love driving it in town. The clutch I have now is already stiff enough, I've only driven unsprung plates on Hondas and it didn't feel to bad, but the clutch mechanics on a Honda have a complete different feel anyway. A DSM stock clutch is stiffer than any clutch you can run on a civic. As I have the transmission off I'll get to clean all the hard to reach spots. I've changed the clutch before and had to replace my driverside axle seal before so I'm becoming incredibly efficient at removing the transfer case and getting all the parts out of the way. Especially with an engine tuck, relocated battery, and ABS delete. I'll be done with the complete install in a couple hours.
