OK. i tryed living with this long enough. My clutch is feeling worse and worse every day.

Every morrning when my car is cold the clutch feels fine..even after it gets to opperating temp it still feels normal. but after about 10-15 minutes it starts to get stiff when i push it down...but only when i feel it when it starts to get pressure and dissenggauge. then it feels just as sticky on the way up, like somthing is holding it down or squeezing it, tightly. the longer i drive it the progressivly worse it gets. Its the worst in first gear. at a stop when i push the clutch pedal down it feels like its creaking like and old floodboard under my feet. like if you open an old door it creaks and has a jitter to it.

now the funky part is...when it starts to get really bad and stiff....my oil light comes on at idle....WTF!

I have an a ACT 2100 clutch...and recently bled the hydrolics. it was good for the longest time..now this.

What do you think it could be?

bleed it you probably have air in the lines, also if thats not the problem try something as simple as putting wd40 down on the pedal??

Mods will put the boots to you skull for such things. You should know better. :nono:

Do the usuals.

Step 1
First off, did you bleed it correctly? Just to make sure. Also Inspect fluid level and condition.

Step 2
Inspect slave and master cylinders for leaking or abnormal operation.

Do these and get back to us. How long ago did you install the clutch? Does the engagement point move? Did this problem just appear or has it been there for a while and progressively get worse? Explain as good as you can on what went down and we can move from there.

Go get some fluid and top it off past the max line (about .25 in) and if it gets better then it is most likely your slave.

aight guys i think i may have solved it. i just jacked the car up and went to town. My Clutch Release cylinder (slave) is completely shot.

the boot is ripped apart ...the pin was shking back and forth...so much that i poped it out...it had no lubrication on it....instead it was dry white powder build up.

I belive this is the casue of the creaky feeling. Cylinder is not working correctly casueing the hydrolics to build up pressure or somthing. thats my theory.

Im ganna replace it now..and go from there. but i still have no idea about the oil light.

The one that mounts off of the tranny itself is the slave cylinder. Here is an install link for ya.

If your slave cylinder is dead, the master cylinder is probably in similar condition and it is reccomended to replace it as well. The two togehter should be around 100 dollars. Mind as well pick up a SS clutch line while your at it.

The oil light comes on every time? This could be unrelated and a total coincidence.

Im surprised a ruff bump didnt pop it out..i tgot it out with just a finger. WTF

thanks for your help and that link.

i bled the system about 2 moths ago and never really thought to check the function in the slave cylinder or check its lubrication i just loosend the valve and and let it bleed. i had my friend poor fresh brake fluid in. The clutch has been fine for a while...never had any issues.
intill about the last 3 weeks i noticed the creaky problem in the pedal... it kept getting worse and worse...but i never had time to check anything out..but i made sure i did tonight because it was getting to be ridiculess.

thanks agian for your help...and for the bumper comment. :thumb:
