so i was on my way to a friends house and as i pulled up to her drive way i went to shift into first( her driveway is STEEP) and i wouldn't go into gear so i thought why not roll down the hill and try again...nothing. so she called AAA and got me towed home. as soon as i got home the car was drivable. I took it around the block no problem. next day I'm driving down the street and went to shift into third and the clutch felt really hard and then went straight to the floor. it goes into gear when its off but not when running, and if you try reverse while its on it grinds horribly....one of my buddies said that's what happened to him before his 2G crank walked
but I just hit 100,000 miles i thought i was safe...and it is possible it might be the original clutch... any help would be great thanks for reading this long ass post

. It's not like the motor becomes immune to wear and tear that can cause a crank to develop too much play. It usually occurs between 80,000 to 100,000 miles, but it can always occur, and crank walk isn't unique to DSMs, DSMs are more prone, but all FWDs are prone to this issue, especially manuals where the clutch is constantly placing pressure on the crank via the flywheel.
