Just installed a new clutch, and have put approximately 124 miles on it since. No launches, not riding the clutch. I was staying in boost during acceleration, but allowed myself time to make a smooth and regulated shift.

Here's the story. Driving the car to test radiator issue. In boost, I hear a little pop, from the hood, and can no longer get any boost to build. Just a coupler camw loose. Tightened it back all good.

I'm having a cooling problem, where I have to turn heater on to help keep temp level's normal. Also my fans are not coming on... But thats not the major issue right now

I was attempting a u-turn, and couldn't put her into reverse. I pll off to the side and try again to no avail. I exit car and see if the reverse light even come on. nope. So Im limping back home again. From first to second... there is no second. Finally I find it. I have to really dig the stick and search for it. Its like it REAL deep and too far to the drivers side. Its not natural how I have to get into gear. There is almost no feed back onto when I am actually engaging gear. i.e. dosen't pop into gear like it has been,

4th gear is a little better, but not much. It only seems to be from the bottom row of gears 2-4-R. I'm at a lose here. Not sure where to start.

I removed the center console to expose shifter, and really didn't see much. Nothing popped out at me as an issue, but I have little knowledge on dt issues. I need this to be a simple quick fix. I'm about fed up

Any help will be appreciated :thumb:

Have you tried manually (shift lever assembly on tranny) to put it into different gears? Have someone sit in the car and see if they see movement in shifter as move the levers. Might have to remove shift linkage from tranny side to isolate if its a tranny issue or the shift linkage

Not gonna lie. I'm pretty tired of the car right now, and haven't tried anything other than what I stated before. I have done very little research on this, so I have no idea where the shift lever assembly is located. This shit sounds like a lot of time to do. Would this be the best place to start?

On the top of the trans, where the shift cables attach to, you should be able to switch the gears manullay by yourself. If you can easily get into the gears from there, then it is probably a problem with the linkage. Also, does this only happen with the car running? or all the time?

If it only has problems getting into gears with the car running, you could have a pressure plate problem.

There's also adjustments for the clutch pedal, too. So there's a few things you can look into.

Thanks. I will look into it. This problem exists while car is and isn't running. I'll start looking into this as soon as I can, and I'll post some pics/video for more reference.

*update - I'm looking at the assembly from inside the car, and playing with it. There isn't anything that stands out. I get under car and same thing. In front of car, same thing. There isn't anything that stands out to me as a problem. Maybe I just am not certain on what I need to look for. Camera is charging. Will post video within hour.

Also, this counterweight at the end of the cable... That shit looks completely unnecessary.

Damn sleeve covering the linkage cable. Covered that up and it shifts fine. Any ideas on how to keep the sleeve from coming undone? It isn't loose, but if it happened once, it'll most definately happen again. Thank you guy/girl for the help. Video and pics to come as soon as this damn galaxy decides to upload.

heres the damn video. That was a bi*** uploading. I'll post some pics of finished product for reference to others that have to diagnosis this issue.

Well, here's the update. I haven't done shit new really. Well, I popped the damn shift linkage cable o-riing out of the bushing. So I'm doing a "skateboard" bearing bushing mod. I ordered the shifter base bushing @ extremepsi.com,

Apparently Walmart does not carry skateboards or roller blades. So I got a $20 scooter and popped the bearings off. As soon as it stops damn raining, I'll actually get out there and finish this and post some pictures.

Any ideas on how to keep this "sleeve inplace and secure it so that is dosen't move? Zip ties don't seem to work, and the only clamps I've seen are too big. Thanks

Got the bearing about 80% in. I guess that will work for now until I find my C-clamps. I used two sets of vice grips and got as much done as possible. I used the existing ring on the cable linkage to secure the sleeve into place. So I drive her, and everything is good. Still a little play in stick left to right. But the major issue that has presented itself is that the temp gauge is not working now... Always something.

Fixed :hellyeah:
