Right now my master cylinder pushrod is extended as far as it can go, and the pedal is resting on the cc switch. If I back the master cylinder rod out a bit, the pedal does not rest on the cc switch anymore but about one-half to one inch away. Would this be a worn assembly? Everything worked fine with new master cylinder and slave until I put in an act 2600 today, now I cant get it into gear. Thanks

When you push the pedal down can you pull it back up any amount from its rested position. Thats usually the best way to tell. I fixed mine hopefully for good last week:

I think it is worn. I think why I kept telling myself it was good is because there was always pressure on the pedal via the cc switch. When I dont have it "preloaded" on the switch I can pull it up about an inch.

So what do you do if after you get it out, it does not seem to be worn? No play using prybars and such? What alse would cause my problem, my clutch fork moves but I can put my finger between the tranny and fork with clutch depressed?

The little arm that goes to the adjustment rod is where the slop comes from. Even a tiny bit (mm's) will translate into an inch or 2 at the end of the clutch pedal itself. They MUST be welded tight to each other. Here's a video I made a while back:

Pay attention to the threads, you can just barely see them move, but the small arm is dead still. So that slop is inside that arm, where it mounts to the shaft, round peg in a square hole.

So after welding, and reinstalling I get pressure almost immediatly when I push the clutch but it is kinda mushy for the first half of the travel. Could it be that I never bled the clutch completely after master and slve changes?

Well I just bled the system again and changed the master. Still not shifting and is engaging about 1/2 inch off the floor. When I look at the master cylinder from inside the car and push the clutch, the pedal moves about an inch before it gets pressure, but the master cylinder pushrod is moving also. This all happened after a tranny swap (91+ tranny to a 90) and put on a act 2600 pp. It goes in all gears fine when not running. The fork is a little to the drivers side of the hole in the bell housing. Please help me.

Yes. The master cylinder pushrod is adjusted as far as it goes, and I can still push the slave back into itself. I just ordered new oem revised fork, pivot ball, and t/o bearing. As well as stainles steel braided clutch line. Will let you know what happens after I install this weekend hopefully.
