Clutch Adjustment

I would like to know if it is possible to adjust the clutch on my Tsi? The car grinds when going if first from a stop, and grinds when going to reverse from a stop. I know that the clutch was replaced by the previous owner, and there is like 3 inches of free play.


So how do I adjust it?

it would be freakin awesome if someone with the knowledge would speak up because I would like to know how to adjust my clutch on a 96 eclipse GST

pretty easy to do, spend about 15 minutes of time upside down under your dash and that should do it.

the 2G is a bit different, if you get under the dash so that your right ear is toward the gas pedal and look behind the clutch you will see a rod going up into the similar piece as you can see in the 1G photos, well, undo the locknut and then turn the rod counterclockwise a bit...1 turn makes alot of a difference, tighten the locknut, drive it...do that till it feels right to you after driving it.
