Clutch Adjustment. Which way do I want!?

When I first start the car - and its cold and what not - if I push the clutch in and try to move it into any gear 'somewhat' fast... it feels like it runs into the syncros. When the car is warmed up, however it doesn't do this. Maybe I should just adjust the clutch and see if that helps my problem? If I let it sync up when its cold I can get into gear fine... the guy I bought it off of just 'redid' the transmission, also put in a limitedslip.

Problem is - which way do I want to go? Figured I would ask rather then do a trial and error never really adjusted a clutch before.

Also - In between shifts, (not only shifts, after letting off the gas.) I hear a clunk in the front LEFT of the car, like its coming rom the strut assembly or something, but everything looks ok. (Thats just with the car jacked up abit. strut tower is tight and from what I've seen everything is still in place.) I have alot of crap and tools laying around in the car - so hell maybe its something inside the car and my ears are just retarded...

Don't touch the clutch adjustment. Change transmission fluids to something lighter, and don't try to crash into gear- snub the box by bumping against second before shifting into first. When you press in the clutch in neutral at a stop, the internals of the transmission are still coasting. The synchros are working better once the fluid's warmed up, which is why you don't feel the problem as badly when it's warmed up.

Not to bring a dead subject back - but I adjusted my clutch already without checking back here. I've no idea what type of fluid is in the tranny right now - any suggestions for what I should switch to?

Along with that said - I've got the clutch set some-what close to the floor - my brother said it seems abit high... I hate it when hes right, so whats the ideal spot where I want my clutch to engage/disengage? How do I know I've got it right?
