I cant spin the master cylinder adjustment rod in or out. I cant seem to get pliers on to grip it and cant get a good grip with my fingers either. This is really frustrating me, the nut is loose, it spins freely and is out of the way, so it is not that. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to turn this thing? Thank you very, very much if you do.

im not getting enough travel of my actual clutch. It grinds gears when you try to force it and i noticed that it could be adjusted a couple turns if i need to. The clutch worked fine a couple weeks ago but engaged right off the floor. Now its worse and doesnt want to disengage at all.

Also try to push the clutch pedal down with your hand just a little while using your other hand to turn the rod.

Sounds crazy but it usually works.:thumb:

What I did was use the nut to turn the rod, turn the nut all the way out so its at the end of the thread and then use a 12mm wrench to turn the nut even more. Depending on which way you want to turn the rod is up to you, but once you turn the nut forcing it to turn the rod, it should get the rod turning and then you should be able to do it by hand.
Then just turn the nut back out and tighten it up when you're satisfied.

Just keep at it. It is such a PITA. Try using WD-40 on it too. But when you do get it to spin, A little turn goes a looooooong way.

Thank you, thank you very much everyone. I finally adjusted it and no more grind. Saved me 600 on a clutch and installation. Special thanks to eboy0, using the nut at the end of the threads with the 12mm wrench did the trick. And call me what you will but it was my girlfriend that actually turned it for me, im only 5'11 but i couldnt get a good hand up there, she fit in there a lil more comfortably and turned it for me, shes the hero today. Thanks again I really appreciate it.
