clutch adjustment?+rattling

Having some weird issues with my clutch but only when starting the car. To start the car i have to press the clutch and kind of angle it to the right side as im pressing it for the car to start, if i press straight down to the floor the car will not start. I have not noticed any issues with the clutch switching gears, this problem is only when starting. I did notice rattling coming from my bay and diagnosed it to my clutch/tranny somehow when i press the clutch in the noise goes away but only when i press it to the floor, i assumed it was the TOB. any ideas what this could be? This is my 1st dsm and still learning. I don't even know where to start for my diagnosing.

the motor is built and the tranny is stock this is a 420a motor

I would start at the neutral safety switch, which is under the dash at the top of the clutch pedal. Then work you to the tranny gear lever's. And if you still don't come with anything, the master and slave cylinder's.
