Clicking noise from throttle body

There is a clicking noise that sounds like a relay coming from around the intake manifold throttle body area. It does it when the car is not running but in the on postition and when the car is running? Any ideas what solenoid or relay or part could be there making this clicking noise?

I have the same problem. In my situation it is my evaporation purge, and my EGR solenoids that tick. On my car they are mounted to the fire wall, but it sounds like it is coming from the intake manifold. It drives me nuts, but they don't tick when the car is not being driven as in your situation. Using one of those doctor stethscopes is a good way of tracking down the ticking noise, or you can use a screwdriver and put your ear to the handle of it.

Idle speed control? What is it exactly? Can it be easily replaced? My car makes the same noise. I hear it when its not running (key ON) and thats it.

Thank you!! Hopefully that is what that noise is. I have not noticed any idle problems, but maybe this thing is on its way out or something. Appreciate it!!!

I have same thing on my car sometime my idle air controler making some clicking noise when i turn my key on and my gauge cluster light work.
