Best way to clean a water pump and oil pump front case that was hardly ever used? No miles at all just a motor that idled for a few months tops.

Would it be bad to soak the whole case in oil? or should I just wipe of as much old oil as I can and pour some new oil through it?

Is there any way / reason to clean the water pump? It's already slightly corroded, but I know water pumps are good untill atleast a timing belt change, but should I just replace the water pump?

I'm sure my oil pump front case should be reusable right?

6 bolt block if it matters.

Water pump should be fine if its not leaking, a little corrosion on the prop wont hurt anything.

If this is for a rebuild youll have the oil pump out, check both gears and the case itself for any inperfections. If you see any groves dont use it. Also I'd stick with an OEM mitsu pump if somthing elese is on there I would replace it while it would be easy to.
