Alright i had a couple main bearings totally explode and i am now rebuilding my motor. Is there anyway to clean the current oil pan out and re-use it?

It has bearing shavings EVERYWHERE in it. I cleaned it for about a half hour and cant seem to get down under the little splash shield thing to clean out the metal shavings
Ive tried a magnet and it still hasnt gotten all of the shavings out of there.

Any easy way to clean it totally out? Thanks

Hmm..do you have a high pressure washer? strap that thing down somewhere and go to town!wear eye protection and dont let anyone see you do it.

No high pressure washer.....theres one at the car wash though. I dont even think that it would be small enough to get into the hole in the splash shield, Or whatever the hell the thing is.

The thing the oil pickup tube goes down into.

ive gotten most the gunk out of the pan but there is still visibily metal shavings and gunk in the pan, I Dont want to risk my 2000 dollar shortblock to oil shavings. I really dont want to buy a new pan though. There has to be an easy solution

the 3 machine shops i called wanted anywhere from 40-50 just to clean it (they charge a minimum fee for anything) Im trying to clean it for next to nothing or atleast very cheap.

I will figure something out, Thanks for your help though
