Finally got everything together for my build. I'm having the motor assembled next month. I have a fully built 2.3 stroker (eagle crank, kiggly girdle, H beam rods, race bearings, Wiseco hd Pistons, ARP everything, SS valves, dual valve springs, BC 280 cams, 1250 fic's, and fidanza cam gears. 90% sure I'm going with the FP black over A Holset.

I have a spyder gst and I know traction is going to be a pain in the ass. I'm not looking for the fastest car in Columbus or on the track. Just looking to have a safe fast convertible I can play with. This car will rarely see the track. I'm not looking to street race but if I can surprise these asshole bmw and Audi drivers that think they own the road then I'll be happy.

I'm done with the engine and now I'm looking at the drivetrain. I know everyone wants to go AWD. I've been looking into finding a donor car but right now it's slim pickings. I kind of want to get this car back together by summer.

My question is: I really don't want to spend the money on a nice flywheel and clutch if I'm going AWD in the near future. If I get an AWD trans and axles with a VCE or just a welded differential could I drive it normally until I find a donor car for the rest of the parts? Or should I just get a quaife for my trans I have now and leave it front wheel drive?

Yes you can use the Awd trans in that way, I would highly recommend that choice especially if you want to go Awd in the future.

That works out perfect then. I checked out your build and you did a hell of a job. I'm not into crazy stereo systems either. As long as I can hear it that's all I need.
