So i ran into a dilemma this weekend. It was suppose to be the a good weekend where i would finally start my build after putting on the turbo. Well the cast manifold im using is a T3 treadstone replica but im not sure if its a cheap ebay cast either. Anyway the point is when i put my 20g tdo6h (t3) on the manifold the turbine housing hit the block and the exahust manifold would not mate up to the head flush.
I tried using 2 manifold gaskets and even shaved some cast over off the turbine housing where it was hitting and its still quite a bit off.
So my question is are there any cheaper cast exhaust manifolds for t3 turbos that support larger turbine housings? Somewhere around 300$?? The thing that really gets me is that its only a 20g and i never saw this coming!
I did search and this was a good post that is exactly the problem im running into posted by the famed JusMx141:
ERL would be ideal but a little over budget..

If you use an eBay or Turbonetics cast T3 manifold, you'll have trouble with larger (.82 a/r) turbine housings hitting the block on the front balance shaft tube.
If price doesn't matter, go with the ERL for sure. You won't be disappointed.
