Characteristics of a Blown Head Gasket.???

What are some hints that id ill have a blown head gasket..?? i got oil everywhere and my car started to smoke..???? get back to me.. 97 gs-t HELP

Blown headgasket:

Blue or white smoke

overheating

blowing out coolant from the coolant reservoir

bubbling in the coolant system

excessive pressure in cooling system

oil in coolant/ coolant in oil

low compression

When you say you have oil everywhere, what do you mean by that? Just all over in the engine bay?

Check your intercooler/IC pipes to see if oil is in them. If there is, I would suspect a blown turbo.

What color is the smoke?

well the car seems like there is a loss in compression because when i get on it it doesnt pick up and it sputters.. the oil was all over the engine bay on the valve cover battery and around where the head gasket is.. I didnt really see the smoke cuz it was at night and i dont wanna drive the car anymore because i dont want to mess n e thing else up. But my coolant level has been the same and it looks the same. But i took the car for a test drive the other day and it started to smoke white i think.. but i opend the hood and my oil cap was off.. but i also hit a bump and i could of forgot to screw it on tightly.. but there is not oil around the ic pipes or near the intercooler.. and there is no oil near the turbo...

The oil everywhere could be caused by a bad valve cover gasket. Look into it

but there doesnt look like there is a leak from the valve cover..??? but could that cause other problems??
