CEL problem and link

so i'm having problems getting link to connect now. i was having problems where the cables to my battery were loose so it was losing connection and the tune. now i fixed the battery cable problem and now i have a cel when you turn the key and the car wont start (duh too big injectors etc for factory tune to start) but the cel wont turn off... SRS turns off, seatbelt light does it's check, however the CEL just stays on and it wont turn off. it randomly turned off yesterday and i was able to get link to connect and i fixed my tune, however now it wont turn off and link just wont connect.

i was getting the clicking sound from behind the radio just like the ecu makes when it resets, but the problem i'm thinking is the CEL that wont go off for some reason. i checked all fuses, unplugged and plugged in the ecu, tried the battery again, turning the key on and off... unplugging the serial cable and plugging it back in. i can't think of anything else. i was hoping that maybe someone can shine some light on this for me.

Check that the chip is installed securely in the ecu.socket - I had this problem also after installing v3. It was just a poor connection where the chip interfaced with the socket. I just carefully removed & re-installed the chip & it`s been perfect ever since . . .

so me and a couple buddies figured out the problem... apparently one of the solders came undone so to speak so he just re-soldered the socket and we're in business! thanks for the info!
