CEL codes

ok, so i have a P0443 CEL code and a P0141. I know the P0443 is EVAP vmv circuit fault, and the P0141 is a downstream heated o2 sensor heater circuit fault (bank 1 i think). i'm planning on replacing my downstream o2 sensor this weekend, but does anyone know anything about the P0443 evap code? i dont know much about it. thanks

could simply be a vacuum leak, or your charcoal canister unhooked, did you take all your emissions stuff off?

everything is still there from what i can tell. i took the canister off yesterday and cleaned it up but couldn't find any vacuum leaks or cracks in the can. everything seemed to be hooked up right. Car still wants to crank and then drop to 400 rpms and idle until you drive it down the road, then it goes back to 900 like i set it.

dont say vacuum leak, isc motor, or either o2 sensor, there is absolutely no surge whatsoever. it just wont idle at the rpm i set it to until i drive it down the road. It cranks and nearly stalls out, then it goes back to 400, then to 900 when i drive it. Can't figure out what the damn problem is and it's driving me crazy. I put the o2 sensor on today, but still no improvement from that.

I second the vacuum leak possibility. You can fix the rear O2 code but installing a non-fouler drilled out. The rear o2 would have nothing to do with your car's performance though.

The P0443 code should reference no electrical connection to the purge solenoid. Here's an image of it, but your location may vary (images are of '99 GSX).
