Car was tuned for 30psi never had CEL flash. Sent turbo out to be rebuilt and pulled engine fuse to prime turbo during re install.
Went for test drive and now getting CEL flash over 25~ Did my tune get messed up? Or will it re learn?
Bought the car already tuned not too familiar with it. Reflashed ECU.
Currently @22 ish ~

Evo3 16g, 1000cc injectors, AFPR, apexi n1 etc.

Edit: I would put this in Fuel/tuning but Its a new account so I have to post here.

I dont know... I was assuming it was knock so I kept turning down the boost till it stopped flashing. Around 22-23 psi.

Why else would it only flash under high boost? @28psi A/F was around 10.0 Usually @33psi its 10.5

Yeah, definitely sounds like it's setup for knock. Without seeing a log there's no way to tell you why it's knocking. What fuel are you using? If thats pump gas AFRs you shouldn't be lean knocking. Just guessing I would say that 33psi is too much boost for your fuel and timing.
I don't know anything about flashing so I don't know if the tune is lost with a battery disconnect.
The ECU does no learning in open loop mode though, if the tunes off, it's not going to get better.

I assume its just a stock 99 ECU. My question is over the last 5 years since its been tuned and running 30+psi I know it has had a dead battery as it sat for months at a time. Wouldn't it have lost its tune before if that's the issue?

It had no issues @33~ until today.

Guess I need to take it in to the dyno and have it re tuned. That sucks.
Why would a reflash be lost when ECU is reset? It should be saved... I was hoping it was just lost fuel trim settings.

Maybe your rebuilt turbo is moving more air?
Fuel trims are reset with the ECU, but they aren't used in open loop.
I believe 2g mitsueclipse just meant verify that it is indeed a reflash so you can get the proper hardware to log/tune. It's never a bad idea to learn how to tune yourself. Plus there's no way for others to help you resolve tuning issues without seeing a log. So being able to post them would increase your chances of getting help should you have problems in the future.

Yeah I have the receipt for the tune. It says ecu flash and dyno tune.
Planning to pick up evotune when I can. Till then I guess less boost is the answer.

Thanks for the responses.

With the black box ECU, two different cables can be used, the Tactrix cable is used for reflashed and logging, while a cheaper cable is available to simply log. If it were a 95 EPROM ECU with ECMLink, a different cable would be needed to connect to the ECU. Logging is where you want to focus as others have mentioned to see what is going on at the point where the CEL comes on. As others have mentioned, it does seem consistent with knock count, but only logging will verify this.

Its a black box for sure. My mistake mentioning the eprom.
I was looking at the EvoScan Openport 1.3U Universal USB Datalogging and ECU Reflash Tuning Cable

Is the ecuflash as good or better than the evoscan?

Yeah I just noticed that from the evoscan website. Ok thanks for the info that helps a lot to be pointed in the right direction.
