I have added aem twin fire cdi as i was blowing spark @49psi . Everything works well except my tach rpm . What am I missing ? What need to be done for it to work ? Link is logging rpm ,no problem there .

Ecu (and thus link) gets rpm from the cps whereas the gauges get it from the output of the power transistor unit.

Thanks for help, so should be able to run a wire from pt to tach . What color of pt wire is it ?

The PTU already is connected to the tach.

You should wire the tach output from the CDI to the wire going from the PTU to the tach.

There is another way to get around it using a tach adapter. That is why some CDIs are plug n play without having to do this tach fix
