I noticed a few weeks ago when I dropped my transmission that my front carrier bearing bolts were different sizes. Now I knew when I bought the car that the ac didn't blow cold air. But didn't really care/know why. I noticed that when I went to go and put it all back together that the carrier bearing had two different size bolts. I noticed the inner was shorter and seemed striped when I put it in. Tight unless I put a 6" breaker bar on the socket. The other one was tight though. I was thinking about that tonight and did some reading on here. I guess (correct me if I am wrong) the ac condenser is supposed to be in that area and it's bracket serves as a shim between the inside of the carrier bearing and the block. Is this true on the 2g? Because I can only find discussion about it on the 1g? It didn't seem like it wasn't flush against the block, but I could have not noticed it. I saw no condenser or anything that I thought would be in that area acting as a shim, which would explain my lack of ac. How much of a priority should I make it to get that fixed?

I was helping him when he dropped the trans, and I myself took the Carrier Bearing off and I don't remember seeing anything attached to the bolt
