Carrier bearing install question on GSX

Ok I have everything unbolted but not taken apart up to the transfer case. My question is can I slide the driveshaft out of the transfer case???? I have not tried yet but will tommorow. And for anyone who has done this to take the 3 piece shaft apart do you need a specialty tool to get the bolts broken loose in between the u joints or do I need to take out the snap rings and replace the u-joints? Thanks to all in advance for your help.

The yoke slides right out of the transfer case.

I have no clue if you can unbolt the pieces without removing the spiders.

Have you studied the VFAQ on doing this job? I know the example is on a 1G but it will give you a good idea what your working with.
