Does anyone have pics of a CF splitter installed on a 2nd gen eclipse? I am thinking about getting one for mine but I would like to see one installed before I purchase. I know MOST of you will already know exactly what i am talking about, but for those who don't here is a pic of one installed on the AMS evo.

Hmm if that "lip" isnt up to par, and i can understand why one would call it a lip since it tries to mold more with a bumper rather than just be a sheet of carbon under the bumper, then my next best guess would be get one custom made. Buy a big sheet of pre made carbon fiber (I believe mach v sells some), and measure out your bumper and cut to desire, then rig up some brackets for it. Don't see a whole lot of DSM's running time attack courses, so I doubt you'll see many vendors selling splitters or canards for our cars.

Splitters and canards are universal. Both are made from sheets of carbon. You can however get a sheet and cut it if you disire to and hopefully you know how to do this and just get the stabilizers and mount them. I personally think cf lipps look hotter but that's just me. I used to have a cf splitter on my RS to protect the bodykit and plus I used to show that car. Yes I know "rice".. But I am going to get a cf lip for my gst :thumb:

At that price range you're going to be buying fiberglass, not CF.

Yes I do.
I Just thought that he may want to look at the rm chin spoiler as a possibillity as well since it Looks like a splitter and does some of the job of one.

You can make a proper one your self.... Just use some ABS plastic (I think it was ABS plastic?) .. there was a thread on DSM talk on the exact type of material.. I copied it all to my computer but cant find it right now..
I will be making my own once I get other things out of the way.

Edit: Found the instructions i copied to my computer..
Take some large sheets of cardboard, tape it to the bottom of your front fascia. Trace the shape of your bumper, then move the cardboard out a couple of inches until you get the desired length. You may have to add more cardboard to the backside depending on how much you want to seal off the bottom of the car. I then traced the cardboard pattern onto .25" ABS plastic sheet, drilled some holes and bolted it up to the subframe and bumper cover. For added supports, I purchased support rods from APR. Any gaps between the splitter and bumper are sealed with foam weatherstripping.
