Carbon Fiber Hoods

OK... I looked. I really did.

I found articles on how to remove the washer nozzles from the original hood.... BUT I need to know how people went about fitting those nozzles into carbon fiber hoods. The one I fit through the new hood wants to spin to the side and will not sit down flush in the hood.

What do now?

Zip tie it underneath, best you can do.

Don't glue it down, incase you want to switch hoods later.

What Make of hood did you buy? my ViS did the same thing...personally i think since the "hood" thickness is thicker than the stock metal hoods, the tangs on the washers can't fully extend, and lock them in place.

I would move the nozzles to the cowl..That's what I'm going to do when my nozzles arrive hopefully this weekend..

How often are the nozzles actually used? I dont remember the last time I used them to wash the windshield. it only takes a minute to wash the windshield while youre pumping gas.

I use my washers ALOT. I fill my bottle 1-2 times a month.

Well I was thinking of mounting them to the ic to spray that down with water..Or mounting them on the cowl..I don't get gas much I filed up months ago and hhave only used an 8th a taank of gas..

Well its pretty easy to save on gas when your car dont run. Mine hasnt seen the street in 2.5 years.

I NEVER use my nozzles 1) the tubes were cut from the previous owner :/ and 2) because why spend $2 dollars on fluid when it's free at the pump

Whatever you do, don't glue it down. You will regret it if you ever decide to replace your hood.

Winter has nothing to do with washer nozzels. Plus what are you gonna fill the holes with?

What I did was use some silicone to hold them on straight, that way if you want to remove them, it will peel right up. and it will be like they were never even there, cause the silicone will come up with the nozzles, or peel right off the hood.

I had to buy an aftermarket set for all my cars when i got a CF hood. They are like 10 bucks and I usually get ones with those LEDs inside of them. I know they are "ricer" but I never really hooked up the leds.

I bought ones that had nuts at the bottom, enlarged the holes on the under side of the hood with a dremel and installed them with a socket.

I have a problem with mine leaking while driving and gets water spots on the hood!?

^^ Mine weirdly puddle up after I use them and run down the hood. There's a weird stain from them now that I can't get off my hood.

not true it used to get 100+ where I lived in WA

^^^^ You must be from south eastern Washington. I used to live in Clarkston. 100*+ is fairly common out that way.
