Terrorize has some CF hoods listed.... wondering if anyone has bought from him since he doesn't have any seller ratings. If so did the transaction go well? was the quality good? .....got any pics? :sneaky:

Im in the market, and I like the VIS invader but $290 to my door is pretty good. You can find his posting here: terrorize CF hoods hookup

I know some cars are terrible at dealing with CF hoods at high speed... are the DSMs? What I'm really asking is are hood pins seriously recommended or would I be fine with the OEM style latch?

Thanks guys!

i got one for 250 on ebay, it has a few minor ripples in the clear but over all it looks good, im using the stock latch and ive done 120 and its ok, im gonna get pins cause it kinda rattles and flaps around a little but you dont gotta have them.

No, you don't have to have them...if you don't mind playing Russian Roulette.

Search around for all the CF Hood mishap threads. Would you rather pay $30 for hood pins, or $1,000+ to fix your windshield & hood?

Edit: Ah yes..forgot..make that '$1500+ to fix your windshield & hood & roof & sunroof &' :D Not to mention the chunks of glass in your eye.

Wise words.

You would do well to heed them.

I have never bought anything form him on the classifieds, but I do know him, and I bought a 14b from him, no problems. But I am not sure about the hoods, I haven't seen them.

definitely get the pins, i had some and the day after they came in before i got them installed my vis evo cf hood flew up and busted my windshield and cracked the hood, was on the highway but luckily only going about 55 so i was able to slow down and pull off without hitting anyone....

dizzamn.... I'll be getting pins I guess....

Good thing I asked, i might recommend them to a few friends now. I had heard of people's hoods flying up, but usually it was something wrong with the latching system. I asked because it just seemed possible, and I'm glad I did. Thanks guys!

Always use hoodpins they are for saftey not just cause they look cool and a good set from sparco can be had for like 40 bucks :dsm:
