Carbon fiber hood time, so which one?

IMO, if your going to get a hood, get a different style. Most people mod their car to be unique and different, why spend $500 for the same looking hood? Of course it will be lighter but the changes will not be as noticible. Plus most people (non-tuners) wont even notice it and comment on why you didnt paint it which is annoying. Many people noticed my new hood on my car and i think it looks great and i wouldnt go with anything else.

The only question i have is that, am i getting the hood too soon? As far as exterior mods are concerned? So far the only mods i have to my car would be removing the ugly talon purple lettering and thats it. Everything else (except for removing the spoiler) is stock on the outside. Will it look cheesy if i get the hood and not have the car looking fast on the outside? Does that make sence? Let me know guys! Thanx

our cars look fast from the factory.... haha
but personally, i'd buy a bodykit or 99gst conversion before the hood, but if you want to get the hood, it will look good... especially because of your front bumper.

everyone's opinion will be different about that. What else would you do to make your car look "fast" on the outside? I personally think a nice clean stock looking eclipse with an OEM carbon fiber hood looks excellent. I dont really like body kits. You have a '97 Talon stock front bumper, it looks fast already. If you do go the route of a body kit and you sell your bumper i'll buy it though! haha i need a new one and they're hard to find. I still think stock looks best. I bought a Blitz front bumper awhile ago and when i cracked my stock '98 bumper i considered putting it on but I think stock looks much better. Now i'm on the impossible search for a 98 talon bumper.

oh man, i think i kinda worded it wrong. When i mean fast, i mean like its still at stock height, stock rims. I will not be going the body kit route. I am actually looking to leave the front stock and just switching the side skirts and rear bumper for a 97+ eclipse. My bad on making it confusing. I just dont want to look like i spent all my money on a hood and nothing else.


thanks for all of your input. Also can i get opinions on what my exterior plans are. (OEM carbon hood or the hood i have pictured on first post,stock front, 97+ sides and rear, 1.5-2" drop with 18's) Will that look goofy or badass?
