Help me out guys which one in your opinion is the nicer looking hood? Would it be the OEM style? Or one that is like the one below? I think that they would both look hot on my car, just let me know what you think. :thumb: :talon:

i would go with the one in the pic

p.s. people if you dont like it dont post we dont need this to get locked

OEM. Only because if your car is completely stock on the outside (by that i mean just no body kit etc..) i dont think that hood pictured fits correctly. Plus OEM hood with the bump looks awesome on any DSM. If you wanted a vent like the ones picture you could always do it to the bump in the OEM hood.

OEM style with a carbontrix vent on it.

Good looks, good ventilation.

Thanks all, I will probably go with OEM. I just like how mean that talon look with that hood. You are right though, i will not be putting any sort of body kits or wings. If any other exterior mods happen they would be a 2GB eclipse rear and maybe sides. Arent the OEM hoods generally cheaper then the ones with scoops or vents? Where is the cheapest thats out there? :thumb: :talon:

usually. I dont know they're all generally around 500 bucks, if you get a decent one that is. Check visracing. I heard good stuff about their hoods.

My favorite 2g carbon fiber hood is the one that paledsm has.

I LOVE that hood :thumb: You think that you could make an opening in the front bumper between the head lights to create like a vaccum to suck air in and cool the engine better  Just a thought :thumb:

Heres wat i mean :thumb:

My two cents .. but i believe theres a reason its called the Evo hood..

It belongs on the evo.. its two busy for the 2g and doesnt really flow well ..

My opinion :|

OEM....find a good one used. I did. 200 bucks picked it up. :thumb: and cut your own vent in it if you have the balls LOL I ddi andit turned out good.

What bout that supra hood importfan is selling? Has cooling vents and the blockoff plates for when it's raining/snowing.

Since defiant deleted my post (not at all surprised) ..

That hood on the silver one with two humps looks stupid .. but i do like the idea of that bumper..

Already checked... Doesn't fit our turbo vehicles. :thumbdown

Almost that whole car is photoshopped...

I ordered the supra hood from importfan for my turbo...
Cost quite a bit and the wait is 4-6 weeks at least... they said it will fit the turbo, you just need to cut the bracing to fit over the valve cover... i guess we'll see when it arrives. Otherwise i may have a hood for sale... :D

I put the OEM carbon fiber hood on mine. It definitely looks nice on a black car. I'm not a big fan of vents at all, plus I pretty much am happy with the stock look. Just be warned that if you do get something that doesn't look stock you'll have to defend yourself for years to come.

Here's mine with the cf hood

it's a pretty big res pic, figured it'd show off the cf better without bogging down this site.

Yeah, its not chopped. He has a whole thread about the changes he made with his car and the biggest topic was whether or not that car was chopped. It indeed was not. :thumb:
