I was goin to get the evo style carbon fiber hood for my 96 eagle talon but i was wandering if the cam gears were goin to rub beacuse it doesnt have the bubble like the factory hood?

it does stick up, however the rise is carried across the entire hood. looks like shit in my opinion because it sticks up so much. you need to see one on a car in person to really understand.

I ordered a hood from VISracing, and they sent me the wrong one (the evo style c/f). Needed a hood, so i'm using it till they send me the right one in 4 weeks. I can say that it fit more than just fine on my car over the cams, so you should definitely not have an issue. When you speak with them, ensure you are overly clear about which hood you want...I think the guy I was dealing with was smoking rock. In my opinion, I think the hood has actually grown on me over the past while that it's been on the car...I think it actually goes great with the rest of the car, in particular the large swoop spoiler that my car came with from the factory. In my mind, I don't think the evo hood would work so well with the turbo talon spoiler, but honestly everyone's got their own taste. I can only recommend that if others comments make you hesitate, request pics of that hood on your generation and model of talon...preferably talons with your same paint scheme.

i picked the hood up today and i love the way it looks...by the way i dont have a spoiler on my talon anymore...i took it off like a week ago..probly gunna go pick up some hood pins in 5 mins

nah, the evo hood has a main vent (that's blocked off underneat, so it's non-functional...go figure) and two way smaller vents on each side of the hood. Turbotalon, I think it'll look good on your talon spoilerless...let me know if you remove the thermal shield from underneath your main vent in order to let your car breathe. I wonder about this, because I am not sure if water (from rain, washing, etc.) will bother anything in that area of the engine bay. I didn't bother with the hood pins, I know people will trip about that, but the hood latch works phenomenally well just as it is right now on my car...if I do start to notice any thing odd (any small cracks / stress...and i'll notice because I plug my car in everyday here at work, so I have to pop the hood often) I will throw the pins in. Got them in my glove box, but really didn't want to have to drill into the hood and/or screw up my all black look with hood pins.
