Car won't turn over after rebuild

I just finished my rebuild.. put the engine back in; and rewired. I went and took the plug wires out and let it build pressure then put them back on and went to turn the key over and all it would do is crank..

i did the timing outside of the car on a stand and all the marks were aligned... Even the marks on the oil pump were aligned. (i eliminated the balance shafts; Aligned the mark for extra assurance)

Now, idn but i might not be getting any fuel.. i noticed i cant really hear the fuel pump... but i havent heard the car in 6 months so i forget all the known sounds i once knew...

The fuel pump worked fine before.. its been 6 months since the motor has been in.. i put new 93 octane gas in..
You think maybe a fuse?

first thing to check is spark (if you have an old plug lying around this goes a lot quicker), and fuel (you could take the entire fuel rail off and while its still connected, put a rag under all the injectors hold it at a distance of enough to see the fuel, and have someone crank the engine over for you). if you are getting both, could be coolant temp sensor. Hard to tell without being there to help check.
 
Just get someone standing around to listen under the rear bumper for the fuel pump to humm.
Check spark on all 4 cyliners. if those are both good, go for a coolant temp sensor most likely.
But be sure that you get the 5 second cel and the stock boost gauge hits 0 when the key turns on.
 
Please provide some more info:

1) Check for spark (like mentioned above)
2) Check for fuel (like mentioned above)
3) Check for compression with a compression tester (like $15 at Autozone)
4) If you have a 6 bolt CAS, make sure you set base timing to 5 BTDC
5) When you lined up the timing marks outside the car, did you rotate the crank 6 times to make sure the lines matched up again?
6) If you have DSMLink you can manually turn on the fuel pump without trying to start the car.
 
well, okay we figured out that there was no fuel going into the motor..
Now, i didn't here the humm of the fuel pump so we went from there..
Hooked cables up to it and of course, the fuel pump starts running.


Now, I came to think its now either a bad ground; or a bad relay..

any ideas?
 
What fuel pump do you have? stock? 190? 255? is it re-wired? This will help us to help you.

But funny story, this happened to my car once...WHILE DRIVING! The relay (re-wired fuel pump) went bad somehow and the car just stopped driving. At the time I had no idea why and I was only like .5 miles from my house. But I still have to call AAA and get it towed the rest of the way because it was uphill. Turns out it was just the stupid relay, haha.
