Car wont stop turning over.

I was hooking everything back up to fire my 1990 GST for the first time in over a year and as soon as I hooked up the ground to the battery the starter started turning the engine over and wouldn't stop. No key in the ingnition or anything. I'm thinking the solinoid is fused thus always completing the circuit, so I am going to replace the starter later today. Just checking to see if anyone else has an idea.

what was disconnected and why ? -- starter is a good place to start.

I rebuilt the engine and I just dropped it in.

try to RNR the starter and if all else fails go from there. there are alot more steps that need to be taken in order to diagnose the car properly....

Starter was deep sixed. Had a short so all is well again.
