Car wont stay on without jumping by charger after I installed a Walbro fuel pump.

Ok I just installed a Walbro 255 high pressure fuel pump and I cranked the car and it ran just fine but I had to jump it. Well right after I took the jump off and the MPI relay click really fast then eventually dies. Is the fuel pump not getting enough power?
 
Sounds to me like your alternator is taking a dump......shear coincidence. It has nothing to do with the pump install. The MPI relay clicking really fast and the car dying when you removed the jumper cables is a clear sign of lost of power.

When the car is running, it gets all its power from the alternator, and whatever the car electronics doesn't use, goes to charge the battery. If you unhook a batery terminal while the car is running, and it dies, your alternator is bad.
 
hmm true but if the battery is completely dead the car wont stay on either. Mine did that and when i got a new battery it came right on. Then I found out the the altenator was dead as well.

Yes it will. You can start a car with no battery with just jumper cables hook to the pos and neg wires. Once its running, you can disconnect the jumpers and it will stay running. Your dead battery was caused by a bad alternator. Of coarse the car ran when you put in a new battery since the car was drawing its power from the battery. If you would have let it run, it would have eventually stalled out once the battery was drained.
 
Yeah I think it is the alternator too thankfully I have a good spare so I will try it tomorrow if this does not work then I will let you guys know thanks!! Justin
 
Well I changed the alternator and it did not work its doing the exact same thing I made sure the connections are good and everything. Could it be anything else?
