I just put a 16g on my 2g. I upgraded the o2 housing and intake pipe as well. The car as a small exhaust leak I am going to fix as well. But when i turn the car on it starts, then dies after about 5-15 seconds. Sometimes longer if i give it gas. The car is untuned. It probably only have a gallon or 2 of gas in it, if that makes a difference. What could be causing it to start (sounds fine) and then die? I could probably put a video up of it if necessary.

Thanks

Did you double check that all parts removed were put back on properly? Check the MAF connection. Sometimes it may see you plugged it in, but it's not fully connected.

have you checked all your van lines and everything? any leaks of any kind? for sure unplug your MAF and reseat it... I did that to mine.. LOL

Does it run fine, and then just die? or is it struggling to idle?

i disconnected then reconnected the MAF. The car starts fine, idles around 1500 rpms, then after about 5-10 seconds it slowly drops down and shuts off.

Also, just FYI, the car had a blown t25, and the car was sitting for over a month before i switched the 16g in.

Also, one battery terminal/wires are corroded. The battery still works though, the lights come on, and it holds enough power to start the car. But could this be a problem?

would that battery or the car sitting have any effect?
