I have a 98 gst spyder manual. Sometimes my car wont start right away. I have changed the starter, alternator and had all the belts changed including the timing belt. The negative post on the battery cable was a little loose so I had that replace as well.

The battery seems ok although I have not had it tested being that all the accessories work when the ignition key is in the on position. When I turn the key to start position I dont hear any noise at all. I have to turn the key 7 or 8 times, sometimes more before it starts.

Car has 160k miles on it and the motor was rebuilt in 2005. I am the second owner of the car. The dealers computers didnt come up with any codes when tested. Any ideas as to what my problems could be. Thanks

Get your battery and alternator tested. How long has this been going on for? Last thing, do you have any known leaks in your fuel line? Loss of fuel pressure will cause that to happen as well. Does it start up fine during the rest of the day after letting it sit for hours or is it just the first thing in the morning?

No known leaks. Will get the battery tested. Have brand new starter and altenator. About 50% of the time it will start right away no matter what time of the day or how long the car has been sitting.

sounds like your fuel pump is loosing its prime check it after it sits for a few hours
