car wont boost right away

used to run 18 psi on my 16g. now car wont get more than 10 psi, and is hesitating about 1500 rpms before i get any boost at all. does this mean im going to need a new watsgate or a whole new turbo? already checked for a boost leak there is none.

Even though you checked, that sounds like a definite boost leak to me. Check your boost controller, the lines running to it, and wastegate flapper.

Maybe your wastegate flapper isn't closing all the way, or wastegate actuator is stuck partially open?

already checked for a boost leak there is none.

Please describe method of testing, PSI achieved, and rate of leakdown once pressure source is removed.

how would i check my wastegate flapper? and yes my lines are right i even tried four different boost controllers to make sure that it wasnt that.

take off the 02 housing on the turbo you should see the flapper. i had a 14b WG jam up on me before.... same problem. also for the hell of it check the play on the shaft.

You may need a washer under each of the two bolts holding the wastegate actuator on.

Make sure you don't have an exhaust leak before the turbo, that hurts boost way more than a boost leak does.
