Car wont Start/no spark thread? Is my Ground setup ok?

Ok so another thread about the same damn things. I looked at about 30 threads about no spark no start. So here I am.

I know somethings to check and here's what I have done. Car ran fine before rebuild of motor.

Problems I know to fix tomorrow.
-New Battery, mines been sitting around for a year off the car, I did put it on the charger as much as I could remember but I might have lost her.

The car is turning over, and I'm not getting spark on any wires, I checked my CAS and I checked all my connectors. This is a 6bolt swap b4 the rebuild and I checked the wiring diagram to make sure it all seems good to go.

Now I did do something different with the battery ground cables, I routed them different could that be it? Here is a illustration.

Could someone explain how to test further? I will pick up a new volt meter tomorrow if the battery don't work, my old one got fried awhile back.

Can anyone verify that this is an ok way to setup the grounding cables?

Did you still ground the one ground wire back onto the transmission like you are suppose to?

yes, not the same bolt but the other tranny bolt, I'm not sure if it matters if its the one the starter is on I know factory was the starter bolt. I got a new battery and a volt meter today so maybe I'll get somewhere but my new years is starting early.

I got it started with a new battery. But that wasn't the problem. A few good blows on the CPS wire plug and the coil pack plug got it to spark.

Car ran great for 5mins and I turned it off cause it was 6am
