My car won't run with 550cc injectors for some reason.
They are FP brand. I installed them and car won't even start. I tried to controll them with safcII but nothing help. Injectors were brand new, once i installed my old 450cc car runs great again. What could be the problem? I don't have any vacum leaks, but have exhaust leak. I dont think car wouldn't run because of this problem. Anyways need your help.

hmm im new to the dsm world but

from what i know

something has to be wrong with wiring.. if u were dumping to much fuel it would jus run like shit.. unless ur flooding it.. but i doubt that. did u double check all ur wiring..?

ill search and let u kno if i come up with anything..

Did you try to lean up the afc before you tried to start it? Just going from a friends settings, he had to basically set it to -14 to -18 across the range before he coud get it to run. Do you have a logger to go along with the 550's and afc? If not, get one and try again. I dont thnk many will try to help you unless you have some kind of logging device to aid you and them with diagnosis.

I tried to lean it out and it still did not start. I have the logger now, but why did it start perfectly with 450cc and nothing with 550cc? My mods are in my profile

Was the afc added at the same time as the 550's? If so, recheck all your connections on the afc(mainly rpm and mas connection) If the rpm has a faulty connection, you can adjust all you want but will make no changes to the car. Just check the afc on its display screen and see if it is registering rpm and mas Hz.

I installed safcII way before 550s and it works fine. I just noticed, when I hold my throttle at 8%(any%) in neutral rpm climb and then drop then climb again. What could that be? I mean they get to lets say 3k rpm and drop down and get to 3k again.
but car runs fine under boost.

I thought the car didn't start? The problem you're describing could be fpr overrun. I agree with 92awddsm that you should not be playing with 550s and safc until you have a logger.

Well, recheck the connections first. With stock injectors and hardly any correction(if any), you wouldnt really notice if the afc didnt work properly. Once you install larger injectors, you notice problems like that. I would go through all the wiring and solder everything and then see how it runs. Ifv you used the vampire taps that came with it, its a good possibility that you have a wiring problem.

The car does not start with 550cc but drives fine with 450cc. Now give me some advice about rpm issue. I have a logger right now so its about 30-35 of timing at the hightest. I am running 14psi with b16g.

I used safc to get rid of fuel cut when i was still running stocker at 18psi. Now i run 14psi b16g with out fuel cut. With out safc i would not be running with out fuel cut. I am sure safc is wired correctly.

If the afc is showing the rpm fluctuation that you describe but the engine isnt, you either have a faulty afc, bad wiring, or faulty ecu. Nothing else will cause the rpm to go to 3k, fall off, and come back unless the engine is doing the same thing as what the afc is showing.

And an intermitten problem like that can delay fuel cut. Have you actually watched the afc before with the 450cc's to see how it reacted? Like I said before, recheck and solder all connections. If you used the vampire connectors that came with the afc :nono: , thats a good place to start.

Just some suggestions.

1. Like I said before, the rpm issue is probably related to the 255 overrunning the stock fpr.

2. The reason for your previous fuel cut, if it was fuel cut, is probably caused by boost leaks. It's not possible to hit proper fuel cut with a 14b and stock injectors because you will most likely hit fuel starvation before you even come close to hitting fuel cut unless you have boost leaks.

3. Instead of installing an afpr and fixing your possible boost leaks, you install the the safc to bandage the problems, blindly no less.

Zero out the safc, perform a boost leak test, install an afpr and install a logger before your next attempt on the 550s.
