Car wants to cut out after...

I installed 550cc with the 2g MAS..

huge difference in performance

but say at a stop light, or basically at low rpms, when i try and give it gas, it stutters and and wants to cut out it feels like..

i have to rev it higher for a smoother "take off.."

im untuned.. i think that might be the culprit.. but idk..

any suggestions?

91 eagle talon, big 16g.. was running stock 450 and intake.. installed the 550 and 2g mas last night.. other than that, its basically stock.. im also dumped, but im getting the rest of the exhaust back on in about 40 mintutes

Yep, that's the culprit. Needs a way to tune it. I recommend getting ECMLINK. The best investment you can make. Easy to use, great support and they are a great group of guys.

Well a buddy of mine had a 1g with 550s and a 2g mas untuned and it ran fine.. I think its something i did.. But i made sure everything was back together..? Hmm guess im going to redue it tomorrow..

check for boost/vacuum leaks. its not a good idea to run 550s on a stock tune but it should be running rich not wanting to cut out on you.

550s and 2g maf sensor have been used together for years on 1gs, you also have a lightened flywheel. It's not out of the ordinary to have to give it a little gas to take off with one.

i dont think you understand ... ill have to come by and show.. i can put the pedal to the medal -- so to speak -- and it want launch sometimes from first gear.. i hear the turbo spool and everything.. the rpms go up and down back and forth

sometimes the car runs fine.. then out the blue, it starts acting up again..

i re did everything tonight.. went for a drive, and it was better.. it did *as stated above* only one time..

i might've fixed the problem when i re did everything .. i probably didnt tighten bolts down all the way, maybe didnt plug something in.. etc. but like i said, it acted a lot better.. ill know more tomorrow when i drive for longer periods of time
