Hey guys, just got in from a buddies and we checked the starter, battery, alternator and all connections we could, they were all good. So by playing with the ingnetio switch I found that is my problem. Of all things thats it, there is a certain way I must push the key in and up (i know its not a chat room Bruce)LOL and it hits every time!! Need a switch. THANKS EVERYBODY FOR THERE INPUT!

I still have that slight buzz behind the A/C controls. Now i have to get at that also. you guys think its a relay going out or getting bad?:talon:

I think you need to replace your ignition cylinder frist of all. If the car runs, it runs. Replace your ignition and see if that doesn't resolve the other issue as well. If it doesn't, pull apart the console and try to narrow down the exact location of the sound.

Okay, so I was driving her lastnight and it was completely fine, no signs of anything power loss or anything, parked her, went to sleep, next morning went to go to work and nothing, no power to the engine at all.

This is what works as of right now. Headlights, power windows sometimes, no radio, 4 ways work, turn signals work, automatic door locks work.

When I turn the key over, nothing cranks over, I only get a buzzing sound SOMETIMES, LOL, and it's coming from a relay I think.

What I have done: Tested for power under the hood, battery is good, I had it recharged because thats what I thought it was, we took a multi-meter and found that there is 12.31 volts everywhere under the hood, the the alternator and to the starter. We tried jump starting and nothing, we took power from the battery to the started and it turns over but doesn't completely start, just turns over. So, everything seems fine under the hood with 12.31 volts so we went into the car.

THIS IS WHAT IS EFFED!!

From the ignition to the relay there is 12.31 volts when the key is in the off position but when I turn it on, it goes down to 2 volts? Major powerloss and were completely stumped!!

Anyone have any ideas??

Start checking all fuses. In car and under hood. Then move onto the ECU. Ever had to replace your ECU before?

Check the dumb white wires that goto your battery terminal. I forgot to put them back on one day, and I got the same results. Good Luck! :thumb:

I have to turn the key with my thumb and pointer finger to get it right. Im going to take the ignition cylinder out tomorrow and try a different one.

I would check the ground wire on the back of the starter. There is only a cheap plastic connector that holds it on. I had a similar problem, and the connector was broken, so it was still grounded but not very good.
