Car won't start, but engine turns.

Ok so i just bought my 91 NA talon, it drove fine all day. This morning i'm trying to start the car and it wouldn't start. The owner claimed that he changed the altenator the same day i bought it. The car will turn but won't start. Any ideas, maybe its time to change the spark plugs. I didn't check if it was getting fuel.

Check fuel and spark. Also check your coolant temperature sensor. If it's bad or disconnected the ecu will think that the car is expremely cold, dump fuel, flood the motor and make it very hard to start.

Where is the coolant temp sensor located at, isn't it right by the coolant housing?

The coolant temp sensor is on the thermostat housing. It is a two wire sensor next to a 1 wire sensor.

See if you can find someone with an OBD1 scanner. If the coolant temp sensor is bad or not hooked up it should throw a cel.

It will throw a code. But not one to make the check engine light come on.

Actually everyone above is right, it was my temp sensor. One of the wires was cut off and you couldn't see unless you took the plug out. I connected the wires without the plug and my check engine light went off and the car started right up. Thanks everyone.
