1G car surges while at highway speeds

I am new to the whole dsm scene, i just recently bought a 90 talon n/t 2.0 with an auto tranny. My problem is that the car is that kinda sputters upon initial takeoff after its been sitting, and then drives fine, after 10 minutes or so of highway driving it starts to surge back and forth, with the accelerator at a constant pressure the car will kick back and forth almost like i and giving it gas and letting off, if you watch the tach it actaully climbs about 100rpm, and sometimes while doing this the car will shake pretty bad, i have no clue and couldn't seem to find any answers on here so far...any help would be appreciated, sorry for the long post i just dont wanna leave anything out.

sorry fogot to mention, car has new plugs, not sure about wires, also has 155,000 miles on it. The guy i bought it from thought it might be a tps. any ideas??

im startin to think its a tranny problem...the surging almost feels like the car is having trouble deciding which gear it needs to be in, and i've had the car slip into neutral on me while sitting at a light in drive like 4 times. The tranny fluid is full and i have no other ideas...suggestions anyone...thanks in advance

Hey I don’t know if you sold the car or if you fixed it, I’m having the same problem.

I have a 92 Eclipse GS 1.8 liter I think has 4g37 engine. I can’t seem to figure it out so far I’ve changed the ECU, MAF sensor, oil filter, new intake filter, new fuel pump, cleaned injectors, new spark plugs. I’ve done everything and still does it if anyone knows anything pls help
