Well first off i have a 95 eagle talon tsi fwd. i shut the car off and it wont start. I got it to start but it will stall itself out. My friend before this all happened followed me and said he could smell my car running rich. that should cause this problem right? well anyway i thought maybe boost leak somewhere. i changed every vacuum hose i could reach and changed it. Didnt work. So i got some of my friends to listen to it. So I tried a couple more times. Now it wont fire and theres black smoke pouring out the exhaust when i try to start it up.
Well kind of different topic that same day i put a boost controller on. I went for a drive to see how much its boosting. Well i got a real surprise. It spiked to 20 and stayed at 18 psi when i was really getting on it. All i have done to it is a injen intake, greddy type s bov, and a 3in downpipe catless with 3in thermal cat back. Does anybody have any clue why my car is doing this?? if anyone can point me a direction so i dont have to pay someone to fix it that would be greatly appreciated

sounds like u mite have bad spark plugs or your timing is off. pull one or all your sparke pulgs and see what they look like if its a fule prob. they well look black and wet also u can smell them, check the gap on them to. if there normal it well be a brown color. so if the spark plugs look ok check your timing it sounds like the exh. mite be off

I changed and gapped my spark plugs correctly, changed the fuel filter, changed the wires, the fuel pump is a 190 and my car looks like a disel truck with all the black smoke pouring out of it. Have you checked the ecu??? Thats what im doing today, my car wont start WITHOUT starting fluid... so it has to be fuel related. I just dont know what else to check. There has to be a simple solution. ANYBODY help us please, the ohio weather is just now warming up so i need my baby on the road again.
