For some reason the car shifts good when I first start it up for the day, then gets kinda crappy when its warm. By crappy I mean that I can "feel" the tranny moving into gear. I think it has something to do with the clutch not releasing all the way. With those symptoms what I am looking it? Slave (likely I think)? Master? What else? And I have bled it properly multiple times.

Check to see if you have the proper amount of fluid in there, when its cold the oil is a tad thicker, so it will coat things a little heavier. But as soon as the trans warms up, the oil will start to thin, and coat parts less.

Basically im just telling you to check your fluid. HAHA

Haha..

As far as the fluid, it is close to full if not full. I started with 3 quarts of pennzoil syncromesh, filled the t-case, then put the rest in the tranny. My friend filled it while I was watching and some of it spilled on the ground, but only a few spurts that didn't quite make it into the fill hole.

I feel that the fluid is not the problem, because when I adjust the clutch pedal it shifts better, then after a few days it's back to the same again. Also, if I push the pedal really hard the shift is smoother. That's why I think it's not releasing completely. And I'm sure if I remember correctly but fluid may have been coming from the slave cylinder when i put the new engine in. At the time I just assumed it was leaking from the power steering or something but it could have been the slave itself going bad.

What do you think? Still think fluid? Could it be fluid with those symptoms?

i notied my car shifted horrible when the tranny bracket for the shift cables was loose.

How would you adjust that then?

Not to jack the thread but I'm basically in the same situation as you. I'm kinda weary as to change fluid as my gsx has 175k miles on it, and i heard changing fluid would ruin thr tranny? anyone know if this is right? How do you check fluids also? I'm leaking something that seems to look like power steering fluid, but its not PS fluid..

Thanks
