This all started about two weeks ago when i was on the highway doing a few pulls after i had up'ed the boost. After my last run i started slowing down and the car started shaking very bad. It was shaking badly at 20mph so i could not go any further. It felt like it was coming from the front driver side tire area. So i pulled over called got a jack and lifted the car and removed the tire to check that nothing had come loose. After a quick glance everything looked ok. So i was stumped. I was a couple blocks from my house so i decided to drive home and voila the shaking was gone. A couple of days later i noticed that the car began to shake again but not as bad. When i was on the highway cruising at 70 mph i can hardly feel it. As i start to slow down the shaking gets worse. If im accelerating at any speed it pretty much stops. I have no idea what is causing this. Any ideas?

Cliff notes:
Car shakes when i slow down or driving anywhere below 70mph.
It does not shake or very little if im accelerating.

does the shaking get harder with more brake pedal pressure, you may have warped or cracked rotors. If the shaking is very prominent in the steering wheel its very likely you have bad front rotors or out of balance tires. If its worse through the chassis, or the seat, its probably something else.

I dont think its the braking. When i cruise at 70mph and let off the peddle to slow down (not breaking) it starts to shake more.

Try putting a jack under the motor, and see if it moves much when you try to lift it. Don't try lift it much, only an inch.

I checked the tires, they looked good no wear. I then rotated them to see if it would make a difference but i still have the same problem. The shaking reallly feels like its comming from the front driver side. This side is also making an odd noise when i turn. Its not the sound you get when the CV boot goes bad.

That strut is also the one that looks the most worn out, but would a bad strut cause the car to shake.

I had a worn out wheel bearing, that did exactly what your talking about, only more noise, itermittent shaking, come and goes when it wants too, growling noise is when i know it was finally a bearing and I even turn the rotrs once to see if that was it, It would growl for the first few miles then everything would be ok, and then would shake like you said when you would decel after a hard pull.
