Well, after putting in an XTD Stage 3 6-puck sprung with a 12lb Flywheel, i can't seem to be able to shift without having the car violently shake. I have adjusted the clutch, checked the motor mounts, and the shaking can be controlled just a little if I hold the clutch about half way in. Could it be that my transmission is going out? Could it be that the clutch disk was installed backwards? Flywheel stepping? It literally feels as if the car is just going to fall apart.:| Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Depending on your driving style and what rpm you let the clutch petal up it will shake more. IE if you ease the clutch out with no throttle. These are grabby clutches made for increased power and rpm shifting, try more rpm and slower on the clutch petal until you have 500 miles or so on it.

Does it feel like the front of the car is bouncing? Any clunking noises? Have you checked your roll stops (front/rear mounts) too, especially the rear? What's the condition of your shocks?

Is it your first time driving with a clutch heavier then stock? Alot times it takes higher rpm before you can really let go and if your decelerating low rpm it will be clunky feeling too. Just make sure you installed the clutch right and learn to drive with a heavier clutch.

Just to get this straight, your car only shakes when your clutch pedal is pressed completely?

No, it stops shaking once the clutch is completely pressed in. It starts for example, when leaving a traffic light, at low rps whenever I let it out. I've checked the front and rear mounts, they are fine. Shock are brand new. Could it be bad axles? I had a friend come over and take a look, he mentioned something about looking at the axles. I don't abuse the car when I drive by any means, I drive it like any other manual, carefully.

Thats cuzz you need hold it in longer with these meatier clutches. Car wants to feel like its ganna die and jerks the whole car and acts goofy at low rpm. Keep practicing driving it. Should of gone with more street able clutch especially if your car is rather stock.

TJC Talon is right! Also any loose front end parts will accentuate the chatter! If the flywheel was not replaced or resurfaced that could also add to the feeling.

Flywheel was replaced, went with a 6 puck since I will be upgrading in the future. Do you guys think the axles will contribute to the chatter?

Yup, sounds like the chatter is due to the pucked clutch. Try giving the car a bit more gas then usual when taking off from a stop. Did you get a light weight flywheel or an oem one?

I got the kit from XTD that comes with a 12lb flywheel. Well I'l try that and see how it goes! Too bad the car's not with me now:(

Nice, hopefully you went with the unsprung disk! I don't know much about their flywheels but many people on this site run xtd disks with great success! :thumb:

Unfortunately I didn't go with the un-sprung disk, but I'm not planning on abusing the thing, it's my dd:thumb: But thanks for all the help you guys!

**UPDATE** Well, I took it to a mechanic that was recommended by a friend, and turns out it WAS the mounts! All four were replaced, and the ones on them before were not tightened, they were all loose. Car feels AMAZING now, doesn't make a sound!:thumb: Thanks for all the replies once again!
