For some reason my car was slower after i put my bov return back on today.(drove down the street with it off to see how it would sound) When i had the return tube off the CEL came on, but it did that the last time i ran without my return tube on. I have also been having problems with my clutch master cylinder running out of fluid. So which of the 2 things might be causing the problem. The car starts up and idles fine but at WOT it feels like I'm barley pressing the gas.

Well the clutch fluid leak want kill your performance but you do need to find the leak and fix it. HAve you done a boost leak recently. Just putting on the bov return line shouldnt hurt performance. And as for getting a cel with the tube off you shouldnt unless you dont have the intake stopped up were the return tube goes. Did you block off your return tube on the intake pipe when you drove it?

Yes i had the intake blocked off, no i didn't reset the ecu yet, and i found and fixed clutch fluid leak and bleed the system but apparently i didn't bleed it enough cause it started getting loose on me while i was driving again. If i reset the ECU do you think that will fix my power loss problem.

It should fix your problem, I also heard people having luck with letting the car idle for about 10 minutes. I would also do a boost leak test.

^^^ what he said. Yes, reseting the ECU will fix your problem. Or you could just drive around for anywhere between 10-30 minutes and it will fix it. I haven't heard of it being "fixed" of letting the car idle, I've always had to drive it around for 10-15 minutes in stop and go traffic.

Your suppose to let the car idle 10-20 mins after you reset the ECU bc it needs to relearn everything. Once you reset the ECU, you will most likely encounter a very low idle and it might even die on you at idle (this happens to alot of DSM, their known for it). I had the same problem when i changed my battery. My idle was fine 2 days later, so dont stress if that happens bc i did! LOL

Yup, mine wants to die at a stop every time I reset my ECU. I have to give it gas to prevent it from stalling.

I reset the ECU today and drove it around. The idle is fine, but it still seems like the car is not moving. after i drove it around i took it up to about 6000rpms and noticed a puff off white smoke as soon as it hit 6 when i let off it went away. I have a video of my rpms in a second gear pull that i will try to post a link for.

How long did you drive it around for? Try letting it idle for like 10 minutes. Also check the turbo for shaft play and do a boost leak test while you got the intake off.

i cant tell anything by that video: cell phones make shitty videos (im assuming thats what it was). get an actual cam corder or borrow one LOL

Having your bov recirculated does not hurt performance at all. It's having it vented without the right equipment that hurts performance. Always do a boost leak test, if you haven't yet, don't post anymore questions till you have.
