Cambridge,
k i put a new battery in the car new fuel filter, wires, plugs.and well started last night went and got gas no probllem still hade a little bit of a miss so i retarded the timing and the miss went away....went to start this morning barley runs and make a bad clanging noise durung idle HELP:cry:

It's not text messaging, you can use long full sentences here, in fact it's preferred. I would check all the vacum lines for leaks, put the timing back to or set it where it should be. You can't just dial timing by ear and listen for it to try and run the best, people did it way back in the day, but ti just doesn't work in all honesty. Make sure the battery cables are tight, and double check everything you changed, plug wires and all, make wure they are on right and see what you find.

Sorry about the typing been texting friends all morning.....at first last night i turned it all the way back then to half way the miss went away......when i get it to run its sounds like a diesel....like i said it was running fine last night..WTF .........
