Let's just say I got on it. When I shifted to second, it revved up to redline between shifts!

I hit the throttle twice to calm it back down. TB plate isn't getting stuck, I manually checked. I replaced the throttle cable, well from the swivel to the tb I did, not the gas pedal to the swivel.

Any ideas?

How do you know its not intermittently getting stuck? or getting stuck on the carpet or something?

well I had no carpet when this happened. I do now. I check the play in the cable while it was out and it extends and retracts with no binding.

A buddy said it could be a intake gasket leak, but I wouldn't know.

I'm gonna try to swap to a non-cruise control cable to see if that helps..

Any other ideas?
