car keeps trying to die!

hey guys, coming home today, car kept trying to die on me while crusing, all of a sudden check engine light would come on, and there was a total loss of power, car would idle at like 400-500rpm, and kept trying to stall.
turn it off, wait a minute, turn it back on it starts up fine idle at like 1000rpm so i carefully drive home, almost home now and it does the exact same thing, except the light turned off on its own didnt have to restart it, lasted about 10 seconds.

any ideas??

It sounds like your ECU is atrting to go bad. It lives behind the stereo & chatters when it's failing, which happens more intermittently at first & the at some point the car won't run at all. Try to find out if this is the problem right away because you might be able to have the ECU rebuilt if you don't totally fry it.
You need to find out what caused the check engine light to come on by reading the stored error code at the diagnostic port. It's pretty easy to do & well explained in the 1000 FAQ
